In the paraphrased words of Papaji:
You always have a light within you. Instead of turning toward it, you see it shining on outer objects and chase the objects looking for the light. You are looking for satisfaction from the objects that have caught the reflection of your own light.
When you decide enough, stop the outward flow of the mind, and it is quiet. In this quiet, the outward flow of the river becomes a reservoir. This reservoir, without ripples, is your own inner light.
Keep quiet, be still, in communion with your own Self, in the Satsang of your own Self.
